With the help of Felix Leiter (Jack Lord) and sexy Honey Ryder (Ursula Andress), Bond battles seductive double agents and sinister villains in his quest to save the human race. The film that launched a decades-long Bond franchise, Dr. No is a classic.

001- Citizen Kane

Orson Welles reinvented movies at the age of 26 with this audacious biography of newspaper baron Charles Foster Kane (in essence, a thinly veiled portrait of publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst), who rises from poverty to become one of America's most influential men. A complex and technically stunning film, Citizen Kane is considered one of the best movies ever made.

002- How High

In this hilarious, wacky comedy, two potheads (rap stars Method Man and Redman) smoke some brain-enhancing weed before taking college entrance exams -- and, to their surprise, score high enough to get into the hallowed halls of Harvard University! Once there, however, Method Man and Redman exhaust their supply of wise-weed and are eager to find creative substitutes in order to make the gradel.

003- The Incredibles

Meet the Incredibles, the award-winning Pixar team's superhero family that comes out of banal, suburban hiding to don their old costumes and save the world again. Bob Parr (voiced by Craig T. Nelson) has given up his swashbuckling days to log in time as an insurance adjuster and raise his three children with his formerly heroic wife (Holly Hunter). But when he receives a mysterious assignment, it's time to raise hell one more time.

004- Life as a House

Faced with a diagnosis of terminal cancer, George (Kevin Kline) decides to construct a beautiful new house on his land overlooking the Pacific ocean, while at the same time trying to connect with his estranged son (Hayden Christensen). Kristin Scott Thomas and Mary Steenburgen co-star in a dramedy that speaks eloquent volumes about the fragility -- and resilience -- of the human condition.

005- Malcolm X

Director Spike Lee's Oscar-nominated drama illuminates the life of civil rights leader Malcolm X (Denzel Washington), following him from his early days as a prison-bound gangster to his conversion to Islam, marriage to Betty Shabazz (Angela Bassett) and discovery of the Nation of Islam writings of Elijah Mohammad (Al Freeman Jr.). When Malcolm turns his back on the Nation of Islam (following a pilgrimage to Mecca), he becomes a murder target.

006- The Red Violin

The long-lost "red violin" crafted in the Italian Renaissance shows up at an auction, enthralling a curious connoisseur (Samuel L. Jackson). In flashbacks through three centuries, the instrument reveals its mysterious history -- and the lives of its previous owners. Filmed on three continents and in five languages, this Canadian-Italian production won a Best Original Score Oscar and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Foreign Language Film.

007- Sleepers

In this drama based on characters in Lorenzo Carcaterra's controversial book, four boys from Hell's Kitchen enter a reformatory where a cruel guard (Kevin Bacon) abuses them. Years later, two of them avenge their tormenter and stand trial, defended by a druggie lawyer (Dustin Hoffman) and aided by their scheming cohort (Brad Pitt) and other friends from the 'hood (Robert DeNiro, Minnie Driver), who face the moral dilemma of justice vs. loyalty.

008- Cheaper by the Dozen

In this remake of the 1950 film, the Baker brood moves to Chicago after patriarch Tom (Steve Martin) gets a job coaching football at Northwestern University. His writer wife, Mary (Bonnie Hunt), and the couple's twelve children seem to adjust well, until work demands cause the parents to be home more sparingly, leaving the kids frustrated, bored and increasingly mischievous. Also stars Hilary Duff and Tom Welling (of television's "Smallville").

009- Chinatown

Private eye J.J. Gittes (Jack Nicholson) uncovers intricate dirty dealings in the Los Angeles waterworks and gets his nose slashed for his grief. Suspicious, porcelain-skinned femme fatale Faye Dunaway (who harbors a nasty family secret) finances Gittes's snooping. Director Roman Polanski reimagines 1930s Los Angeles in this brilliant detective thriller. And Robert Towne's onion-like script reveals itself one complex layer at a time.

010- Finding Forrester

Reared in the Bronx projects, high school basketball star Jamal Wallace (Rob Brown) harbors a passion not usually associated with jocks: He's obsessed with reading and writing. Realizing Wallace's exceptional writing talent, William Forrester (Sean Connery), an award-winning novelist turned recluse, decides to mentor the youngster. Wallace and Forrester soon find that a common passion can forge an uncommon bond.

011- To Die For

Suzanne Stone (Nicole Kidman) has always harbored one dream: being on TV. She's dead-set on making that dream come true, but there's one obstacle: her husband (Matt Dillon), who just wants her to stay at home, cook the pasta and make babies. Some career path that is! So, Suzanne convinces a love-struck teenager (Joaquin Phoenix) to get Larry out of the way -- for good.

012- The Count of Monte Cristo

A beautifully photographed rekindling of the classic Alexandre Dumas story. Edmond Dantès's (Jim Caviezel) life and plans to marry the beautiful Mercedes (Dagmara Dominczyk) are shattered when his best friend, Fernand (Guy Pearce), deceives him. After spending 13 miserable years in prison, Dantès escapes with the help of a fellow inmate (Richard Harris), cleverly insinuates himself into the French nobility and plots his revenge.

013- Don't Say a Word

We'll never tell! Michael Douglas stars as a renowned New York City shrink who must extract from the mind of a violent and catatonic mental patient (Brittany Murphy) the whereabouts of some hidden bank loot. If he doesn't -- by five o'clock -- his kidnapped daughter is history. Famke Janssen and Sean Bean co-star in this suspenseful amalgam of Girl Interrupted and Ransom. Quick, pass the lithium!

014- Guess Who

Ashton Kutcher stars in this remake of the 1967 classic Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? The tables are turned this time around, though, as he plays the fiancé of an African-American woman (Zoe Saldana) who's met with skepticism and suspicion by her father (Bernie Mac) when she takes him home for the all-important introduction. Tension flares (as does the comedy) as the wedding approaches and dad must come to terms with his future son-in-law.

015- Mystic Pizza

Reality rudely intrudes on the plans of three blue-collar, New England teens who share their dreams while slinging hash at the local pizzeria. Daisy (Julia Roberts) entertains visions of marrying into the upper crust, while levelheaded sister Kat (Annabeth Gish) wants to go to Yale. Meanwhile, wisecracking Jojo (Lili Taylor) has a man on the hook but finds that commitment cramps her style. A quirky linchpin of 1980s cinema, Mystic Pizza delivers.

016- The Princess Diaries (Widescreen)

It's Pygmalion for a new millennium when unassuming San Francisco teenager Anne Hathaway (of TV's "Get Real") learns she's heir to the mantle of the tiny European principality of Genovia. The gawky teen gets a makeover from a newfound grandmother (Julie Andrews), and it's off to the races with more social gaffes and slapstick than you'd find in a Three Stooges film festival.

017- Billy Elliot

When 11-year-old Billy Elliot (Jamie Bell) trades boxing school for ballet lessons, his father (Gary Lewis) is less than pleased. The hardworking miner from Northern England despises the idea of his son running around in toe shoes, but when the boy wins an audition for the Royal Ballet School, he experiences a change of heart. Soon, he becomes a strikebreaker to raise money for the audition in director Stephen Daldry's Oscar-nominated drama.

018- Taxi Driver

Mentally unstable Vietnam vet Travis Bickle (Robert De Niro) drives a nocturnal cab through the sleaziest streets of pregentrified New York City and befriends a child hooker (Jodie Foster). Along the way, the morally righteous Bickle slowly loses his mind, turning into a well-armed, homicidal vigilante. De Niro, director Martin Scorsese and screenwriter Paul Schrader create a violently prophetic, gripping vision of urban decay and insanity.

019- Anna and the King

In this fact-based 19th century tale, Anna Leonowens (Jodie Foster), an English widow with a young son, travels to Asia to tutor the king of Siam's 58 children. Brimming with prejudice, Anna believes the king (Chow Yun-Fat) is an uncivilized barbarian with little understanding of western sensibilities. Eventually, however, Anna and the king realize that, regardless of their drastically different views, east can meet west.

020- Pollock

Tortured Abstract Expressionist Jackson Pollock turned the art world on its ear with his shockingly original paintings. As played here by Ed Harris (who also directed), he's alternately neurotic, misogynistic and brilliant. The Oscar-winning film follows Pollock from the launch of his career by Peggy Guggenheim (Amy Madigan) through his marriage to fellow artist Lee Krasner (Marcia Gay Harden) -- a union tested by his infidelity and alcoholism.

023- Wag the Dog

When the President is caught in a sex scandal less than two weeks before the election, White House spinmaster Conrad Brean (Robert De Niro) creates a phony war with the help of Hollywood producer Stanley Motss (Dustin Hoffman). From acclaimed director Barry Levinson and writers Hilary Henkin and David Mamet comes this biting look at American politics and its relationship with the media that we have all come to embrace.

024- Bulworth

If a politician spoke his mind, he'd either be a former wrestler or unelectable; Bulworth digs into this ripe premise. California Sen. Jay Bulworth (Warren Beatty), reduced by years of compromise and scheming, hires a hit man to put him out of his misery. Kicking off an election campaign with nothing to lose, Bulworth lets his mouth get his ass in hot water.

025- Bowfinger

Lame producer Bobby Bowfinger (Steve Martin) has a script that's brimming with possibilities. The catch? To get seed money to produce the film, it must feature Hollywood's leading box-office star, Kit Ramsey (Eddie Murphy). Aided and abetted by a cast and crew of misfits, Martin makes one last stab at overnight success. Hilarity is the result.

026- Snatch

Several interlocking plots revolve around a scramble for a stolen 86-karat diamond, an attempt to fix a boxing match and … pigs. Director Guy Ritchie returns to London's mean streets, rife again with characters such as Bullet Tooth Tony (Vinnie Jones) and Franky Four Fingers (Benicio Del Toro). Brad Pitt is a standout as a bare-knuckles fighter who speaks a gypsy dialect nobody understands.

027- Be Cool

John Travolta reprises the role of Chili Palmer, for which he won over both audiences and critics, in this comedy based on a novel by Elmore Leonard. Having exhausted all avenues in the movie industry and finding it wanting, Chili sets his sights on the music business. His first client is a singer who's on the lam from the Russian mob, and Chili finds himself resorting to his old tactics to fend them off. Costars Uma Thurman and Danny DeVito.

Co-stars Sharon Stone, Benjamin Bratt and Frances Conroy.
